Session Format
Presentations will be held at the conference hotel, the Radisson at the Port.
Oral presentations (Undergraduate, Masters, Team, Open Topic, and Exhibition) at the Southeastern Regional Student Conference are scheduled at thirty minute intervals. These thirty minutes include the time for speaker introduction as well as paper presentation and questions and answers. Each paper presentor will be given a maximum of 20 minutes for oral presentation with additional time (approximately 8 minutes) allotted for questions from the floor. A speaker will be given a five-minute warning, then a one-minute warning, and will be cut off at the end of his twenty minutes.
Design Team presentations will be given a maximum of 30 minutes for the presentation with an additional 13 minutes allotted for questions from the floor. The design team will be given a five-minute warning, then a one-minute warning, and will be cut off at the end of their thirty minutes.
A PC and projector will be provided for presentations. Preferred format of presentation is a PowerPoint file stored on CD-ROM or flash drive. Please bring your file in multiple formats in case of technical difficulties.
To ensure that there is a smooth transition between the presenters, all visual aids will be required to be uploaded onto the session computers during check-in on Sunday, March 30th. Presenters who are concerned with arriving at the hotel during check-in should make arrangements to send their visual aids to our judging coordinator, Jay Dellinger, ahead of time.
